The Allegan District Library (the Library) requests proposals from qualified contractors for historic roofing and eave rehabilitation of the 1914 portion of the Allegan District Library building (the Building).

INVITATION TO BID #011513

 The City of Allegan and the Allegan District Library (Library) is accepting sealed bids for Phase I Allegan District Library Roof and Exterior Rehabilitation at 331 Hubbard Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010.

Bids will be accepted until Monday, May 6, 2013, at 5:00 p.m.  at the Library.  Please visit www.alleganlibrary.org to download a copy of the Request for Proposal. This bid is a “firm fixed price bid”.  All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations is required per the MSHDA/Allegan District Library Grant Agreement.

A bid tabulation summary will be available. The Allegan District Library will not consider or accept a bid received after the date and time for bid submission set forth above.  All bids shall remain firm and withdrawal of any Bid is prohibited for a period of ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening of the bids.  Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the City arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation and recommendation of any bid.  The Library reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids either in whole or in part; to reject a bid that is in any way incomplete or irregular; to waive informalities and irregularities in the bids and in the bidding and to award the contract to other than the low bidder.

A mandatory one-time pre-bid walk through is scheduled for Friday, April 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Library.  Please e-mail evielyzenga@alleganlibrary.org to schedule your attendance at the walk through.
