Minutes from the August Board meeting were approved upon a motion made by Trustee Wott and seconded by Trustee Williams.

The financial reports were reviewed, and upon a motion made by Trustee Williams, seconded by Trustee Wott, the bills presented by Director Perrigo were approved

for payment. The financial and statistical reports were also given at this time.

OLD BUSINESS:

Friends Committee: The update from the Friends committee was read.

District Issue: A meeting will be held on October 29, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. Director Perrigo reported that the meeting with the newcomers went well.

Building Maintenance:

• Rotten wood has been replaced and painted.

• Air conditioner is on back-order from China. Upon arrival, it will be installed.

• HVAC--two estimates from Suburban Mechanical Company were given—one for repair and one for replacement. Director Perrigo will get other quotes from different

companies.

• Work Room

1. Review budget price-out received from Library Design Associates.

2. Director Perrigo will go with Trustee Williams to view Haworth products

3. Benefactor to finance a redo of Director’s office.

Policy Committee: Recent suggested update for loan policy—tabled for another month.

Library Goals: Homebound Services updated by Trustee Williams. Upon a motion to approved by Trustee Jerkatis, seconded by Trustee Williams, this new service will begin a trial period in January 2008.

ACLA Trustee Gathering: Tuesday, November 13 at the Fennville Library.

Bookletters: Are not compatible with Alexandria after update.

NEW BUSINESS: None

Public Comment: There was no public comment.

Librarian’s Report: Staffing: Peggy Westgate turned in her resignation letter, as well as Caitlin Krause. Teresa will be offered more hours, with Peggy available on-call.

The Book Club had approximately 12 in attendance at last meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. The next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2007.
