The Kalamazoo River Superfund Project, also known as the Allied Paper Inc./Portage Creek/Kalamazoo River Superfund Site stretches 80 miles along the Kalamazoo River from Saugatuck to Battle Creek, near Sunrise Heights.
The Allied Landfill is part of the Allied Paper Inc./Portage Creek/Kalamazoo River Superfund Site. Allied Landfill covers 89 acres including Portage Creek between Cork and Alcott streets in Kalamazoo.
The Rockwell plant is located on a 30.4 acre site in a residential neighborhood on the Kalamazoo River in Allegan.
The Waste Management of Michigan (Holland Lagoons) site is located at 2700 N. 168th Ave between Riley and James streets near Holland. The site is near the Southwest Ottawa County Landfill Superfund site and a half-mile from Lake Michigan.
