The Allegan District Library is located on Hubbard Street in Downtown Allegan. We are located across from the Allegan County Jail and Courthouse. The library services the area of the Allegan Public School District (see APS map). We provide access to resources for both fiction and non-fiction E-Books, Audiobooks, hardcopy books, periodicals, videos, CDs, DVDs, and Music.

We have an on-staff reference librarian to help you research any subject for any age group in-house and through interlibrary loans, as well as our large genealogy and local history collection.

The library has a children’s and teens’ area staffed by an on-staff children/teen librarian who provides both children and teen programming and cooperative resources with area schools.

The Allegan District Library has computer stations and WiFi available along with a fully, computerized card catalog system. Through the internet, users have access to a variety of databases meeting informational needs in the area of:

Health
Law
Government
The Sciences
Arts
Education
Entertainment
Tests for various occupations and GED
Free computer classes of all types and how to use a computer
Job Accelerator for those looking for work with segments devoted to
resumes, cover letters, interviewing and more.

Through our online resources and the many varied resources here in the library, we help patrons find whatever they need as well as be a comfortable, friendly community space.

We have an active calendar of events offered free to the community.

These resources are meant to entertain, inform and educate all library patrons. For our younger patrons, some restrictions apply to internet usage.
