Allegan District Library Board of Trustees
May 16, 2011
The regular board meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Jerkatis.
Present: Trustees Catherine Hellmann, Carol Garofalo, Carol Browne, Mike Kiella, Chris Antkoviak, Susan Jerkatis, Director Ann Perrigo and Administrative Assistant Evelyn Lyzenga.
Absent: Trustee Watts, excused.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Open Public Budget Session was called at 7:15pm by President Jerkatis. Trustee Kiella moved to close the open session, seconded by Trustee Hellmann. Passed.
Committee Reports: Public Relations Committee – Trustee Antkoviak moved to accept the revised Public Relations Policy as presented by the committee, Trustee Kiella seconded. In discussion a motion by Trustee Kiella, seconded by Antkoviak, to set aside the first motion for purpose of amending the wording. Passed.
Trustee Browne moved, Antkoviak seconded, to accept the Public Relations Policy to so read under “media contact” as “The Director, Board President or their designees”. Passed.
Bills paid: Trustee Browne moved to pay bills as presented, Kiella seconded. Passed.
Unfinished Business: Motion by Trustee Kiella, seconded by Trustee Garofalo, to purchase the copier from Valley Township for $3,000. Passed.
New Business: Trustee Kiella moved to accept the proposed 2011-2012 Budget as presented during the open meeting with amendments and changes. Antkoviak seconded. Roll Call. All ayes. Passed.
Trustee Kiella moved to close the meeting at 8:29 pm, seconded by Hellmann. Passed.
