What a great deal! We make beads (fun, simple, easy to do while chatting), and someone far away benefits. Lots of places in the world are in need of clean drinking water, something we are lucky enough to be able to take for granted. Students Rebuild is an organization that figured out how we can help. For every 20 beads we make, a person in a Tanzanian village acquires greater access to clean water. Beads are a traditional African commodity, so it becomes a natural means to raise money. “When is this happening?”, you may ask. It’s about time I got to that! Monday, December 9th, 6:30-7:30 — our usual time for teen events. And, as always, there will be food involved. Stop in for a bite and a bead, and a bit of good will!
